Unlocking our Maritime Heritage: A history of Dublin Port, 1707-2027

Dublin Port is both the historic maritime gateway to the city and Ireland’s busiest modern port. In this lecture Lar Joye, Port Heritage Director, will cover the 300-year history of the port, its archive and outline future projects to open up the port to citizens. By 2040 this will allow the port’s heritage in all its diversity from the built heritage, natural environment, archives, museum network, arts and local and national history to be a destination in its own right.
