PRONI Web Archive

Welcome to the PRONI Web Archive.

PRONI works with the Internet Archive to capture and preserve websites of historical, social, political, cultural or economic importance to Northern Ireland. These websites have been selected and preserved by using a web crawler at various points over time. This selection of websites is reviewed regularly.

Search the PRONI Web Archive

Using the PRONI Web Archive

On the Index page, explore the web archives available and choose a website to view. You’ll see a calendar page showing dates on which the website was archived, as well as a link to the ‘live’ website. Click on any date on the calendar page to view a snapshot of the website taken on that date.

Some functionality in websites cannot be captured when the site is being crawled. Drop-down menus, dynamic content, interactive and animated features as well as search functionality may not operate as intended in the archived website.

Different internet browsers give varying display results. If you are having problems with the display of a particular archived website, try viewing the site in a different browser.
