The index below relates to PRONI's collection of over 500 letters written from Jewish people (primarily from Austria) to Northern Ireland's Ministry of Commerce between September 1938 and April 1939 (PRONI reference COM/17/3/1-50). 

This index was developed as part of a project supported by Belfast Jewish Heritage and the European Holocaust Research Infrastructure UK (EHRI-UK), and includes information (where noted in the letters) such as:

  • dates of birth
  • ages
  • professions
