PRONI holds a wealth of material relating to the history of sports and recreation in Northern Ireland. These records are primarily from the 19th and 20th centuries, but date as far back as the mid-17th Century.

This index to sports records at PRONI was originally published in 2007 and this second edition was published in 2024. The index is organised alphabetically by name of the sport and lists key archives and records to support your research.
