Bibliography

'Guide to Belfast and Ulster Street Directories 1805-1914’ published 2008 in electronic form by the Library and Information Services Council (Northern Ireland) [LISC(NI)].  The Guide was produced by the Local History Panel of the Council and includes a chronological list of street and trade directories with their locations as well as an alphabetical listing of towns and villages together with the directory in which they appear.  There is also a very informative introduction to street directories.  You can view or download LISC guide to street directories (324KB) from the LISC website .
