Divisional Support Services
This section has responsibility for:
- retained personnel functions
- budgetary and all other financial issues
- accountability and audit issues that ensure PRONI operates as a regular part of the NICS and meets all the necessary requirements
- premises management and associated support services
- support for Director, including co-ordination of responses to Assembly Questions
Information Systems Branch provides IT services and support to PRONI, including:
- hardware and software procurement, installation and support. This relates to PRONI specific systems and excludes the corporate infrastructure hardware and software
- software development and maintenance. Examples of this include PRONI’s
- in-house catalogue system and databases used to capture data for web based applications
- support to projects (e.g. digitisation projects, digital preservation)
- IT related contingency
- preservation of PRONI's digital archive (created by digitisation projects)
