Who?
Are you enquiring about a specific person / family?

When?
Do you know the date of an event (e.g. marriage, baptism, emigration, court case)? For wills please supply date and place of probate rather than the ID number.

Where?
Do you know where an event occurred / where a family come from (a townland or parish is essential for a family history enquiry)?

What archive?
Do you know what type of record you are interested in (e.g. court, hospital, church)? N.B. Please include the religious denomination if you are enquiring about church records.

PRONI Reference?
Do you know the PRONI reference number (e.g. BG/7/G)?
