Responses Received during Public Consultation

The Public Record Office of Northern Ireland (PRONI) went out to consultation to seek the views on proposals by the Department of Culture, Arts and Leisure (DCAL) to review and amend the existing legislation relevant to PRONI - Public Use of the Records (Management and Fees) Rules (Northern Ireland) 1996 - SR 1996 No 38 Opens a new browser window..
During the Consultation period which ran from 10 September 2008 until 2 December 2008, PRONI issued over 218 hardcopies of the consultation document (360KB) Adobe PDF formatted document Opens a new browser window. to stakeholders from wide and varied backgrounds. Over 960 page views of the eConsultation document were recorded on the PRONI website and over 30 hardcopies were taken from the public reception area at PRONI's Balmoral Avenue Headquarters.
Since the consultation document was issued the VAT rate has changed and the new Fees and Charges legislation has been amended to reflect this change.
