Welcome to the PRONI website. PRONI aims to identify, preserve and make available Northern Ireland's unique archival heritage and community memory.
All the information that was available on our old site has been rearranged into a new structure, plus lots of new information has been added! We hope you find this site user friendly, helpful and informative.

Interruption to PRONI service:  6 September 2010 April / May 2011

In preparation for PRONI's forthcoming relocation to Titanic Quarter, from 6 September 2010 there will be no public access to PRONI's Balmoral Avenue site. PRONI@Cregagh – Self-Service Microfilm Facility to Open 8 September 2010

A self-service microfilm facility will be operated by PRONI at Cregagh Library from Wednesday 8 September 2010 until April 2011.
10 microfilm readers (5 of them pre-bookable), a microfiche and a reader printer will be available for researchers.
Advance bookings for microfilm readers may be made after 6 September by telephone (02890 255900) or after 8 September in person at the Cregagh Library facility.

Microfilm Request Facility

A Microfilm Request facility is now in place for PRONI@Cregagh and will operate until 21 August 2010.
Requests for up to 20 reels of microfilms not usually available via the self-service system may be made.  Only pre-requested films will be available during relocation and viewing arrangements at Cregagh must be confirmed in advance.

Self-service microfilm facility from September 2010
